Strongly advise against using this law firm. I was arrested for exercising my First Amendment rights on my nonprofit, which focuses on exposing child predators. Following an article about a situation involving a police officer on my website, the police harassed me and eventually issued a warrant for a First Amendment post. During my arrest, I was re-injured from a previous military incident. Upon reaching out to this law firm, Matthew Kachergus took on the case, which should have been straightforward. After 1.5 years, he informed me that he, in basic terms, lacks the competence to handle the civil rights case in which he should’ve returned all my money. This firm wasted 1.5 years of my life while I struggled with the injury that cost me my entire left hand. Which wasting that much time of a case was detrimental for the future of a case. I highly recommend reporting them to the Florida Bar and pursuing a legal malpractice lawsuit if you've been a victim of this unscrupulous law firm. In my opinion, Matthew Kachergus must be influenced by JSO and in their pockets, and I regret not heeding the initial red flag when he asked about potential conflicts of interest in regards to him representing the individuals that my nonprofit goes after, child predators.
