I had the good fortune of contacting Kathleen with respect to my desire for a divorce and my need to retain custody of my disabled son. Although I don't believe I'll use her services, she went above and beyond in the consultation we had. Don't start thinking you're going to get a bunch of pro bono advice, she's savvy about that, but she does make every effort to tell you how the law will apply to you and your divorce. She is.... brusque, but do you really want a "nice and kind" attorney or do you want a no-nonsense professional? I don't want nice, I want my ex to HATE my attorney and if she's a bit brusque and to the point with you just ask yourself what an absolute royal pain in the backside she'll be to opposing counsel? I'll take that 10 out of 10 times, especially if it makes my ex mad, all the better imo.

I have been VERY unhappy with my family law attorney for legitimate reasons, so I looked to hire better representation. I came across Kathleen's name after doing a Google search and gave her a call. I could NOT believe that she stayed on the phone with me for over an hour - FOR FREE! I've NEVER had an attorney go beyond their free 30-minute consultation! She listened carefully to my concerns, and she gave me genuine feedback to every issue I disclosed! She was 100% real, was VERY knowledgeable about the judge assigned to my case, as well as the opposing attorney. I even broke down on our phone call and began to cry because of valid fears and worries that I have. She became so sympathetic and even addressed me as "Honey." Based on the judge assigned to me, she was under the impression that regardless who represents me, this judge was going to be consistent with her type of ruling. She honestly told me she would hate for me to spend thousands of dollars retaining her, for the same outcome, so she recommended I shop around before retaining her. I did call her back later that day and the next day (I couldn't believe an attorney works on Saturdays but she does from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.). She did not return my call so I assumed she changed her mind about representing me. Well, I just got a call from Kathleen and she spoke to me AGAIN for just under an hour this time - FOR FREE! This is SHAMEFUL, but Kathleen has told me MORE and even prepared me MORE than the attorney I hired last year for my upcoming hearing. KATHLEEN CARES!!! And she is NOT money hungry! Kathleen had NOTHING to gain from giving me all of this free advice! If my case goes to trial, I plan to retain Kathleen! I need to know that my attorney is on my side and will do EVERYTHING she or he possibly can for me and my child's best interest! Kathleen even seems like a person I would like to hang out with. I don't drink AT ALL; yet, she makes me want to buy her a drink (not sure if she drinks)! They just don't make them like Kathleen anymore! Thank you Kathleen for being a decent person, and really having my best interest at heart, though you are not currently my attorney! You are how it "used to be." Integrity, morals, standards, and just the hard working American tradition has gone out the door. But you still retain those values Kathleen. May the Lord Bless and Keep you!
