My husband and I are thrilled with our experience with Colleen and her team at Landon Rainwater Robinson. We found the process of creating a family trust easier than expected and the peace of mind we now have is such a blessing. Colleen is professional, realistic, and kind. We feel very supported and know we made the right decision for our family. I highly recommend Colleen and LLR.

Colleen Robinson is a amazing family lawyer. We most strongly recommend her if you need to establish a family trust, wills, etc. From day one we felt we were carefully listened to and were in good hands.

I do not recommend Rebecca Rainwater for child custody cases. I paid the retainer for her for my daughter in a custody case with my granddaughter. I also consulted with her. The attorney told my daughter on Saturday before the Monday hearing that she would be attending by phone and would be at another case in another town at the same time. (My guess is that this allowed her to charge her other case travel time and at the same time she charged my daughter for the wait time as she waited on hold on the phone for two hours for the hearing, mostly likely while doing other work.) She also told my daughter she would ask for a continuance (delay) because the other party had not filed all the paperwork. She showed up by phone, but did not even ask for the continuance. Her reason she gave later was ridiculous. She said it was because he hadn't filed the paperwork. Huh? She does not pay attention to detail. In spite of being told, she continued to misspell the name of the opposing party. She had agreed to ask for some changes in the holiday/special days schedule. Instead of having these requested changes filed in writing ahead of time prepared for the judge to read, she tried to just discuss the details on the phone during the hearing. It was too confusing for everyone with nothing in writing, so the judge made no changes. Ms. Rainwater did not bring up the majority of items that she had agreed to address at the hearing or push back on most of the oppositions’ requests. The opposition got 8 hours of visitation time when he is not even home. After the hearing, she did not get a copy of the orders. We kept asking for the orders for a week and a half and she kept saying the orders were not in the court yet, but the other party had them and were giving us grief because we weren’t following them. Turned out the opposing lawyer had been assigned by the judge to write them up, but our lawyer just kept checking the court file and charging us for the time to check. The court would give no information because we had a lawyer, so we couldn't do it ourselves. She stated what a caring person the other grandmother was in a text to my daughter. How she would know that I have to wonder and what did that matter anyway. It was like she was on the other side. When we asked her why she said positive things about the other grandmother, she said she didn't want to alienate the judge. Does the judge read her texts too? She talks a good talk on the phone ahead of time, but refuses to see you in peson or show up in person, overcharges, and then does not do what she said she would do.

Hiring This Attorney Was a Nightmare – You’ve Been Warned! Hiring Rebecca Rainwater was one of the most frustrating and disappointing professional experiences I’ve ever had. The complete lack of communication, professionalism, and basic client service was beyond unacceptable. 1️⃣ Unresponsive & Disrespectful: Reaching out was like talking to a wall. Calls and emails went ignored for unreasonable periods, leaving me constantly chasing basic information. This is not just poor service, it’s outright negligence. 2️⃣ Inexcusable Delays: Critical updates and documents were delayed for weeks, causing unnecessary stress and confusion. There’s no excuse for this level of disorganization. 3️⃣ No Guidance or Support—I expected professional advice and direction. What I got was silence and indifference, leaving me to handle important decisions on my own. If you want an attorney who will abandon you, look no further. 4️⃣ Zero Billing Transparency: Not once did I receive a bill until my retainer was completely drained. How they can justify draining client funds without providing a single detailed invoice is beyond me. This is shady and unacceptable. Bottom line: Save yourself the frustration and money. Working with Rebecca Rainwater was a nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Their lack of professionalism is appalling, and I’m taking steps to ensure no one else has to endure what I did. Do yourself a favor—look elsewhere.
