In late 1992, four partners in two different large Fort Worth firms saw that they could better serve their clients by banding together in a boutique litigation firm devoted to complex, high-stakes civil matters. On January 1, 1993, that insight became a reality. For over two decades, the lawyers of Friedman, Suder & Cooke have expanded and built upon the well established reputations of its principals. Our growth over the years has been deliberate, and deliberately modest. By remaining lean and focused on our core practice areas, we can assure our clients and referring lawyers that each matter the firm accepts—whether as lead counsel, co-counsel, or local counsel—will benefit from the practiced eye and wisdom of a seasoned and tested litigator. Originally with offices in what was then the Bank One Tower, FSC discovered a silver lining to the March 2000 tornado that uprooted the roughly two dozen law firms spread throughout its 33 floors. Ending up at Tindall Square—a repurposed 1910s downtown warehouse complex—allowed the firm to create a unique space, blending exposed ductwork and original brick with a glass-and-modern-art sensibility. Our space now reflects the unique mix of our lawyers: established Fort Worth coupled with a nationwide high-tech practice.
