We have never had the need for an attorney until recently. Our experience with Bryan Comer was exceptional! His confidence and professionalism in dealing with our matter and keeping us informed was first rate. He always returned our phone calls, texts or emails promptly and settled our case in record time. We would highly recommend Bryan to anyone who has the need for an attorney.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Mr. Comer handling my case. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I was rear ended by a drunk driver while traveling on the interstate. Mr. Comer didn’t let any time go to waste. He went above and beyond to make sure no detail was left uncovered and fought hard to settle my case. I am overly thankful for my outcome. He and his staff were very organized, thorough, and really exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Mr. Comer and his firm! They are who you want on your side!

I have just recently had the needs of a lawyer, I contacted Me Brian Comer with the lawfirm Tobias & Comer! From the first meeting with Mr Comer to my last meeting he was a professional as he could be, as well as the employees who worked on my case! Mr Comer shot straight with me, never led me to believe anything more than I was expecting, he kept me updated on all moves in my court case and was quick to respond to any of my questions! In court, Mr. Comer was aggressive and very well prepared! We won the case! Hopefully, I will not have the need for a lawyer again, but if I do, I will definitely go back to Me Comer!

My wife and daughter were the clients of Tobias. I am retired law enforcement, over 20 years. I have dealt with 100s of attorneys in my career. Never…never have I dealt with a more incompetent and lazy attorney. Because we contacted him several times, over 2 years, asking what was going on with the case, Tobias stated we were “bullying” him. I’m sorry, attorneys work for their clients..absolutely no customer service at all. His “win” was a insurance settlement that a trained monkey could have gotten. We had no contact with the other attorney in the firm. His reviews are good…our bad luck of the draw I guess.

Bryan Comer did an outstanding job representing my boys. He was very professional, responsive, and kept us adequately informed throughout the entire process. He did what was in the best interest of the kids and delivered on his expectations. He ran everything by us first and made sure we were good with every decision before moving forward. I highly recommend Bryan.

AAL general personal injury Frequently Asked Questions

What is personal injury law?

Personal injury law encompasses legal remedies and defenses involved in civil lawsuits brought as a result of wrongful conduct. It covers situations where someone's negligence or intentional actions cause harm to another person. Personal injury law allows injured individuals to seek compensation for their losses, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. This area of law often involves cases such as car accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and defective product injuries.

What is compensation for a personal injury claim?

Compensation for a personal injury claim typically includes monetary damages intended to compensate the injured party for their losses. This compensation can cover various aspects such as medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, lost wages or income, property damage, and pain and suffering. The goal is to provide financial relief to the injured person and help them recover from the physical, emotional, and financial impact of their injuries.

Is emotional distress a personal injury?

Emotional distress can be considered a personal injury under certain circumstances. In legal terms, emotional distress refers to the psychological impact of an injury or traumatic event, such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). While it may not always involve physical harm, emotional distress can still be compensable in a personal injury claim if it can be linked to the defendant's actions or negligence.

What percentage do most personal injury lawyers take?

Most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, which means they only get paid if they successfully recover compensation for their clients. Typically, personal injury lawyers take a percentage of the final settlement or court award as their fee. The percentage varies but commonly ranges from 33% to 40% of the total recovery. This arrangement allows injured individuals to pursue legal action without upfront costs and ensures that attorneys are motivated to achieve favorable outcomes for their clients.

How long does a personal injury lawsuit take?

The duration of a personal injury lawsuit can vary significantly depending on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the extent of the injuries, and the court's schedule. Some cases may be resolved through settlement negotiations relatively quickly, while others may take months or even years to reach a resolution, especially if they go to trial. Additionally, factors such as gathering evidence, conducting discovery, and waiting for medical treatment to conclude can influence the timeline of a personal injury lawsuit.

What is an example of a serious injury claim?

An example of a serious injury claim could involve catastrophic injuries that result in long-term or permanent disabilities, such as traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries leading to paralysis, severe burns, or limb amputations. These types of injuries often have significant and lasting effects on the victim's physical, emotional, and financial well-being, requiring extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing care. Serious injury claims typically seek substantial compensation to cover these extensive damages and provide for the victim's future needs.

What is compensation for a loss or injury?

Compensation for a loss or injury refers to the financial recovery awarded to an injured party in a legal proceeding. This compensation aims to restore the injured person to the position they were in before the injury occurred to the extent possible. It can include economic damages, such as medical expenses and lost wages, as well as non-economic damages for pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life. The goal of compensation is to help the injured individual recover physically, emotionally, and financially from the consequences of their injury.

What is the highest personal injury settlement?

The highest personal injury settlement or verdict can vary greatly depending on the specific circumstances of the case, including the severity of the injuries, the extent of the damages, and the jurisdiction where the case is tried. Settlements and verdicts in personal injury cases have reached into the tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars in some instances, particularly in cases involving catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, or wrongful death. However, there is no fixed limit on the amount of compensation that can be awarded in a personal injury case, as each case is evaluated based on its unique factors and the applicable laws and precedents.
