I was supposed to have an initial consultation with a lawyer. I was told that I would be charged $75 when their website stated $50 for the initial consultation. Even after pointing this out, they insisted that the website information need to be corrected. It's been a month, and the website still shows $50. At the end of the session, I found out that the lawyer was out of the country when I inquired about the cost of the paperwork that would need to be conducted. The person I spoke to couldn't provide the information and said they would contact me the following week. However, they never did ever. I'm relieved that I didn't pursue the services of a law firm that lacks proactive communication and charges more than what is stated on their website. After paying for a consultation, I didn't even have the opportunity to speak with the lawyer during consultation but spoke with some staff member.
