Where do I begin… Donna is for sure one of a kind. I work with a lot of attorneys and even have some as close friends, but it’s not every day one will offer proper legal guidance AND come from a place of emotional care. Donna was great from the start. I actually had originally chosen a different attorney who turned out to be very uncommunicative. In a process like this, it’s already overwhelming and emotions are high. Having someone be a reliable communicator was important to me. Donna was always on top of this and was open to talking via phone, text, and email. She worked with me over Christmas to get things done. She also worked tirelessly to push my former employer when they ignored messages, timelines, and issued my settlement late. Their communication throughout the process was almost non-existent, but Donna always followed up and made things happen. Donna was also very knowledgeable and good at explaining the law and this process. I personally wanted that level of detail and trust. Donna made me feel like I had an advocate and could really trust her expertise. Donna was also kind. Any situation where you need these services, it’s not fun. You question your competence and self-worth, and the process itself can feel scary. Donna went above and beyond to show kindness to me and understanding throughout this situation - while still being aggressive and smart (“a bulldog”) in the way you’d need your attorney to be.
