I contacted Veronica Deaver last year to help with the bankruptcy filing for my mother. She was responsive and very helpful. Two days ago, I contacted her requesting an appointment in the next week to discuss the probate of my mothers' will (she had since passed away). Veronica responded quickly and arranged for a phone conversation that afternoon. When I called at the prearranged time, she did not answer. I left a voicemail. The next day, she sent an email apologizing for being unavailable at the pre-arranged time, and promising that she would call that morning when she left court. She never called. I sent an email expressing my displeasure at her inability to do what she said she would do (or to uphold any promise or communicate effectively in any way), and once again asked for an appointment time in the next week when she could actually guarantee that she would be available, unlike the previous two arranged appointments. I noted that if she was unable to do so, or was uninterested in my business, I would simply seek other representation. Her response 6 hours after the last time we had agreed to speak was 'You can find other representation'. So I did. She also followed up with a very clear (and arrogant) 'you are not my client'. Absolutely true. While my first encounter with her office was good, this interaction was less so. She may be a very competent attorney, but in this case, I found her to be, in my opinion, untrustworthy, uncommunicative, and unprofessional.
