Hardeep and Calvin were amazing and Hardeep was able to resolve my issues and get me a settlement when my employee refused to compensate me for overtime I worked. Cameron and Hardeep have been nothing but professional, reasonable, and steadfast in my wrongful termination case. I shopped around with my case and some other attorneys in the area charge a consulting fee just for them to look at the documents that you provided, or just said they were not interested. (I get it, it weeds out the bad cases) but for someone who was just terminated and with rent and medical bills, paying for someone to look at my case to see if its worth pursuing seemed like a very high risk. Rekhi & Wolk looked at my case and immediately let me know that it's worth pursuing within a week of contacting them. They were very upfront with the costs and conditions, and through every step of the way, they let me know potential risks, and costs associated with each action. When it came time to push through settlement and file for court, they let me know that their cut and fees goes up and that i could earn less than the settlement. Thankfully that didn't happen, but it was nice to know the risk. I ended up wanting to settle the case for ~10% less than what I was told the case was worth initially in this multiple year journey, but I imagine if I wanted to invest more time we would get it up to what they estimated.

I tried to get a consultation with them, and they blew me off multiple times. First, Jennifer had a migraine at the very last minute of our appointment. Next she allegedly called me when I received no call, and didn't make up the time lost to her incompetence so I got a 13 minute "consult" where she wasn't listening and didn't hear anything important about my case. She asked for some materials that I sent, clearly didn't read them and instead sent me back a lame email stating that the firm "didn't have the bandwidth" to take my case and giving me a referral that was useless because it was to an advocacy organization when what I am looking for is an employment attorney and I can't fathom that they don't understand the distinction. They were rude and I truly feel like they were stringing me along from the beginning. I do not think they had any intention of taking my case and I lost precious time in a time-sensitive matter waiting around for them to keep rescheduling and blowing me off. When I did speak to Jennifer, she sounded like she didn't understand basic employment law because her questions weren't getting at the important aspects of my case that were so basic that even ChatGPT had been able to outline them. This firm is either incompetent or malicious but they treated me with disdain and disrespect and I can't imagine how horrible they are at practicing law if this is how they show up in this world as people. Edit: I was disappointed to see the firm’s response to my review, particularly their comment to ‘be kind to people with disabilities.’ As someone who lives with both serious mental and physical disabilities—disabilities that were the crux of my case—their remark was dismissive and irrelevant. This comment suggests one of two things: either the firm didn’t take the time to actually understand my case during their so-called ‘consultation,’ which validates the concerns in my original review, or they are intentionally painting me as unkind in a public forum as a PR tactic. Either way, their response failed to address the substance of my review and instead tried to deflect attention from their own unprofessionalism. I stand by my original review and urge the firm to handle prospective clients with more care and respect.
