I strongly advise anyone considering McChesney to look elsewhere. My experience with her was filled with dishonesty, lack of transparency, and outright negligence. She failed to inform me about critical details regarding a closed hearing, later providing me with false or misleading information about what had actually occurred. I only found out the truth through my own efforts, which is unacceptable from someone who was supposed to be my legal advocate. Beyond that, she did not prioritize my case, rarely responded in a timely manner, and failed to provide the legal guidance necessary for me to make informed decisions. Even after her departure from private practice, I have repeatedly requested my case file, and she has outright refused to provide it. She has ignored multiple attempts to contact her regarding this, and the firm she claimed had taken over her caseload never even received my file. This has left not only me, but multiple other clients, in a terrible position with no legal continuity. An attorney’s job is to represent their client’s best interests, not to mislead, ignore, or abandon them. Now that she is a public defender, I am concerned about the people who will rely on her for competent legal representation. If you value honesty, communication, and an attorney who actually fights for you, do yourself a favor and find someone else. I would never trust her with any legal matter.

Would give a zero if possible. Andrea was ex's attorney during our divorce case and was completely unprofessional and unethical. She never responded to calls or messages, did not present paperwork on time, and kept filing ridiculous motions that she never won just to keep bringing in the cash. She never actually did any work on the case (besides filing frivolous motions) and eventually just quit it and gave to another attorney. In a last ditch effort before she quit, she tried to force a settlement by lying about people who would supposedly testify against me - all lies. She should be embarrassed and ashamed to be so incompetent. She's out of private practice now, not surprised!

If I could give zero stars I would. Andrea is completely unprofessional a long with her work staff. She offered me terrible advice which ended up backfiring on both of us. Not only is their communication awful but they will steal every last dollar you have from you. When our business concluded, it took several months for me to finally be given back my retainer. This was only done after I called over 20 times, left messages, emails all to which Andrea could never answer too. I will never recommend her anyone I know.

I have a totally different take on this firm. My ex-husband used them in our divorce and although I got absolutely everything I wanted after going to trial I can easily say they were all terrible to deal with. Our divorce took almost 3 years and it was all due to the horrible advice they gave my ex and the lack of communication with my attorney. I came out better in the end than what my first 3 negotiated offers were to him. As an attorney, you would think they would have given their client sound advice but they just kept arguing over everything that was apparent he would not win. They also charged him almost 3 times what my attorney charged me and their lack of communication and promptness drug things out, all the while collecting more money from him. This firm is horrible and should be reported to the American Bar Association. In the end I’m glad they were inadequate counsel but would never want anyone to have to deal with this type of representation.

Terrible experience! I do not recommend this attorney to anyone! She never return calls to even opposing attorneys, her biggest excuse is that she was out of town? We all have emails and phones these days… rate her negative ⭐️ if possible… Simply doing her work for self interest to take your money as long as she can…
