I hired Cristina to represent me in my divorce in March of 2023. At first she was very responsive and things got off to a goods start. She filed my divorce and had my former spouse served within the same month. I provided all documents she requested, attended the parenting class within the same month. The situation went left quickly regarding response times from Cristina, she would ask me for the same documentation I had already provided. No updates from Cristina for weeks only after me reaching out several times via email & text. Weeks would go by & I did not hear from her. My ex decided to file a child support order in the state she resides which resulted in me being served paperwork. I provided this paperwork to Cristina as soon as I received it & asked for her to advise on how to respond or intervene as since I filed the divorce in WA state. This was time sensitive & required a response within a specific timeframe. I asked her several times for advice and received no response. She responded AFTER the due date only to tell me that she could not help me as she was not licensed to practice law in that state. I got stuck with paying a higher than necessary and incorrect amount of child support. My ex & I came to an agreement which I conveyed to Cristina. She asked for our parenting plan, distribution of our debt & assets so she could draft a final order for us to review and sign. I submitted all this, according to her the opposing counsel was not being responsive, & she said she would have a draft by end of week & would set up a call for us to go over it. End of week came & I never received a draft. I followed up with her & no response. Once again I followed up via email and no response, this was week two, week three went by, as did week four. I texted and emailed her several times. Finally almost two months after her email stating she would draft a final order she responded via text that she was out of the country tending to some personal family matters and would get back to me once she was in town. I reached out to her once again and her response was that she was not aware of what final order draft I was referring to and for my ex and I to come to an agreement and to send her what it is we agreed on. This was the final straw for me, also all the previous circumstances should have been enough. During this time I started looking for new representation as I felt she was not working out for me. A week went by between her text stating she was out of the country and the next time I reached out to her. I once again asked for an accounting of work done and remaining balance of the retainer. She said she would have it by end of week because she had many pending court deadlines and was really busy. End of week came and nothing. At this point I hired a new attorney. On several occasions I requested accounting on work done on my case which she completely ignored. She finally provided an invoice showing she had already gone through almost 65% of the retainer mostly exhausted by communication between her and I and some time spent communicating with the opposing counsel. Basically all that was accomplished in 8 months (March - November 2023) was filing the paperwork and serving my former spouse. Once my new attorney removed her from my case I asked for the return of the remaining balance of the retainer. Now just over one and a half months my new attorney has been able to get all the information from opposing counsel and the divorce should be finalized any day now. I originally went with Cristina to represent me because there were some good reviews, in hindsight not as many as I would have preferred to get a better feel. Especially after seeing one very concerning review from a previous client, where she left a negative review and was threatened and intimidated with a lawsuit by Cristina for leaving such review. To me that is very unprofessional and highly unethical on her part if it is true to say the least. Although this was my experience I cannot with good conscience say I would recommend her representation.

I contact Cristina for my family law case in January 12, 2023 and she told me to call her the next day January 13rd at 1pm. I asked her if she wants money for the next day phone call and she said no. When I called her Friday, January 13rd around 1pm I shortly summarize my case. The phone conversation lasted 10min and 40 seconds. In that phone conversation I asked her about the the attorney fees. I explain her that I am a single mom and that I don't make a lot of money. She asked me how much my ex is making and how much I make so I told her. Because is a big difference in our income Cristina told me that I don't need to pay her anything because she is going to file a Petition with the Court for my ex to pay for my attorney fees. I had the pre-trial hiring the following week Wednesday, January 18th, at 9am. She did file with the Court Tuesday, January 17th to represent me to the pre-trial hiring that was the next day in the morning. She send me a Court invoice for $0 but she vshe didn't ask me for any money for the hiring or send me any fee agreement form. She kept saying that I don't need to pay her with anything each time I asked her. During the middle of the Zoom hiring Wednesday, January 18th is when she email me the fee agreement and ask me for money. I looked over the fee agreement and I replied to her back politely that I can't afford to give her $1000 deposit and pay her with $300/h. She replied to that email that is ok if I don't want to hire her and that I only need to pay her $300 for the hiring then later that day she send me another email saying "nevermind I don't need that $300". Today Monday January 23rd, after she saw my review on here she send me an email stating that if I don't delete my review she is going to take me in the Court. I did not delete or plan to delete my review because I have the legal right to leave a review for any business in Washington state. Because I didn't delete my review she send me a $810 bill and threatened me that if I don't pay her in 15 days she is going to take me in the Court. In this situation I feel that I have been treated unfairly and I don't appreciate all the harassment emails that I keep receiving from this attorney. I hiried an family attorney before. She told me upfront with how much she works and she gave me an estimate for my case and ask me if I want/ afford to hire her then we both signed the fee agreement.

I recommend Cristina as she is handling my case and I am very happy that she is doing everything in her power to help me. She helped me get a protection order against my abuser and now is helping me with my divorce and custody case.

If you are looking for a family law attorney, stay away from this firm. She may be good in real estate and estate law but she is very ignorant when it comes...
