Honestly if I could go back in time to choose another law firm to represent my mother I would. I had to really fight for my mother after she passed due to nursing home negligence. I don't feel like the firm really cares about people of color and the settlement feels like a slap in the face. By the way the family still hasn't received any settlement yet nor do I know how much the family is receiving.

*Edited after improved experience* I have to admit I came into my case with strong emotions and opinions, and there was some misunderstandings on my part about what hiring a lawyer would be like that caused some friction. Ultimately, L&P and I were able to sort things out and I'm satisfied with what they've done. I don't have anything to complain about. I feel like talented people (Cari, Paige, and Michael) did hard work on my case, were able to analyze it objectively, and were able to thoroughly address my concerns. I was able to get straight answers to my questions and be upfront about the challenges I would face in the legal system while still receiving compassion about what happened to me.
