If you need a no nonsense attorney, who is on top of her game.....Tempie T. Hutton is who you want. I have spent thousands on "excellent" attorneys for mediocre results. I had to pay hundreds for consults looking for the right attorney. Tempie T. Hutton was straight forward and tough as nails but compassionate at the same time. I couldn't afford her because my last attorney kept 100% of my retainer for about 3 hours of work and still ended up with a terrible outcome. My ex-wife wanted to modify our order, for more money, again for the 3rd time in 6 years. Let me tell you Tempie T. Hutton didn't charge me for a consult. Instead she educated me on what the Texas Family Code is and where to find it. She explained to me how to apply the specific code to my situation. I also submitted my evidence to the court as she advised me to. Being armed with the law and how to submit evidence to the court made all the difference in the world. I took this stressful situation on myself and Won!!!! Thank you for all your help!!!!

If there were a 0 star option I would have chosen it. This woman actually hurt my case. My second lawyer even said this. If I had known her advice was bad I’d have gone elsewhere. But I didn’t. This woman belittled me. Appointments with her were a waste she was so disorganized and took phone calls that weren’t even urgent while “working” with me. (Taking calls from people inquiring about issues that weren’t her clients). Then when I asked what to do about something she belittled me and didn’t even help. When she realized she didn’t turn off voice to text in an email reply —and sent me an ugly e-mail, and I called her out on it for saying what she did and then not helping me she had me come to her office. She wanted to save face and said a bunch of bull to protect her image but did nothing for my case. She had me schedule a time to come back. When I came back for my appointment she sat in the parking lot on her phone. I waited 45 min and left. Never even got a call back from her. I did speak to the office staff and they said it was an emergency. If it was, she would have called me back. That’s the way she operates. She likes to preach about God and push you to go to church. Even HER church. Maybe that’s what you have to do for her to work for you. I dunno. I hope you read this Tempie I can back up everything I said with proof.

PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE !! Life is full of regrets, but hiring Ms Hutton is one that stands out for me. I had a simple uncontested will to be probated. When I initially called, Tempie personally informed me she would charge a flat rate. However, she "modified" that when I met her in her office. As I sat across the desk from her, she was looking through my paperwork. I COULD ACTUALLY SEE HER TRYING TO NOT REACT. She very calmly said, "my fee is 25 percent" I reminded her that she quoted a flat rate to me on the phone. "Well, yes, that's true for just a basic probate.". As she wrote a note on my still-unsigned contract, she stressed, 'but, if anything else comes up, and I. MEAN ANYYYYTHINGGG, .... It's 25 percent.". .. well guess what, she made sure something came up... She was OVER THE TOP with her facade of being a caring, kind, genuine professional during our first meeting. But her true colors flew high soon after.

Called to seek consultation, I only had 2 or 3 general questions and Tempie Hutton answered them for NO CHARGE instead of me having to dish out $250+ just for a couple questions. She was very helpful, thorough and straight to the point! Thanks again for the info!!!
