This review is for attorney McKenzie Small, an affiliate of the Law Office of Heather Hoover. McKenzie Small is a truly exceptional family law attorney. She handled my family’s case with the utmost sensitivity and professionalism when we came to her in crisis. No one wants to experience domestic violence or have to fear for the safety of their child. However, McKenzie’s guidance and professionalism allowed us to work within the legal system in order to protect our child and ensure his needs were being met. Her bold advocacy helped turn things around for my son, so that he could live happy and healthy in a challenging co-parenting situation. McKenzie also attended mediation with me and advocated on my behalf throughout the entire process. There was not a single concern I had that she did not address. The only thing I cared about during mediation was ensuring my son’s needs were met (i.e., healthcare, education, etc.) McKenzie not only heard what I had to say, she made sure it was discussed and a resolution was reached at the mediation meeting. If I could leave negative 5 stars I would. Heather Hoover lost my family full custody against an abusive mother for 3 kids. She gave us wrong advice, forgot court dates, and still has not responded regarding the final paperwork where she left out details regarding custody arrangements. She will not even answer her phone, just took our money and disappeared. Her husband is even her 'secretary' who listened to the whole story and it's been a year since the case was finished. We are considering suing her for malpractice because our case was so poorly handled. Clearly she does not care about family law or the people who are paying her to get justice for 3 little children. My family is disgusted by her actions and hope no one uses this lawyer and now the kids have to live with an abusive parent 50% of the time.

Heather was my attorney for my divorce and she did an excellent job. I don't think anyone gets out of a marriage without some sort of concession but Heather makes sure you get the best deal possible. Highly recommended.
