I can honestly say that I would not have an Alabama Medical License without Woody Ketcham. I have some black marks in my past, so I knew applying to AL wasn't going to be a smooth process. But when my commission date got pushed back and then the credentials committee wanted to meet with me, I got quite worried. I left a message for Woody on a Saturday morning, expecting he would call back next week. He called me later that Saturday (who does that?) and talked me through the process. By BP went down 40 points. By the end of the next week we had a complete strategy. He was able to find out from the medical board the exact issues they wanted to address (i wasnt aware of all of them prior). He was able to tell me exactly what they would be looking for. Most importantly, his guidance prevented me from making several unforced errors. At my interview, he had me well prepped for every question I was asked, and it went great (the term "out of the park" was used). I had every document they wanted, and a good answer for everything. By the next week I had approval from both the ABME and the MLC. I now have an unrestricted Alabama Medical License. My advice: call Woody as soon as you get any notice from the board, or even if you expect some. The earlier he can get involved, the better.
