I am a real person sharing a real experience. Also going to file a complaint against this law firm. It took 6 months to file the initial paperwork for my case. My case worker said my paperwork went to an email she didn't use( but I had emails from that email). They are only open 4 days a week and don't accept calls after a certain time of the day. I complained about my case worker (Adriana) and the Supervising Attorney Melanie took over. But Adriana ended up back on the case. She had my fiance check the wrong box on a form and we applied for a Tourist visa rather than a K1. This resulted in having to purchase another visa, extra plane tickets, hotels, etc. The supervising attorney then helped fill out the new visa, and we never heard from the law firm again. I requested a partial refund and was denied. I was told I could get a discount on the next phase for the green card. No thanks. This law firm cost us extra time and money. They get your money and DO NOT CARE. Better options at a much better price. I am surprised they get positive reviews at all. There must be some great people there that never touched our case

Big shoutout for this immigration service. Stephanie is always available for any questions. I can’t believe in less than 6 months I received my green card with no interview . If you have an immigration case don’t hesitate to contact them. Thanks to Stephanie 🥰🥰

This is just an honest review from we had experienced. Holmes and Ramos is the worst attorneys you could hire to represent with your spouse visa They sell you the idea they care about your future or you as individual. Once you hire them, stand off to the side, wait a week, a month, a year. They don't call you or try to set any type of meeting with you. Your $3,000 deposit is the end game and they will ask to collect it upfront then you will not hear ay updates after that. Reaching them takes a lot of time too, most of the time you'll be on hold, or voicemail need to keep trying. Need to be detail-oriented yourself too had experienced many wrong information in our I130 and never apologize for that. We waited more than 14 months for our form I-130 to be approved, it never was, having them as lawyer/representative never get us ahead and no updates what was going on, when we were at the breaking point complained and rude about how poor we feel they handle and doing their service, they will be rude too and won't finish what they've promise. Far from what they say in their advertisement and page. Do not get fooled, they will not finish their work just take your money. Read the bad reviews here had experienced the same. They are true Working with Holmes and Ramos left us more frustrated and disappointed.

I have had several paralegals since I started using the service of Holmes &Ramos Immigration Attorney. Stephanie Rickard stands out as the best one I have had. Immigration case is tedious and intimidating given the countless forms and documents required for application. Stephanie works with me and goes above and beyond to keep me posted of every step of the process. Stephanie is a great communicator, every email and phone call she attends in 24 hours. Other than her professionalism, Stephanie is understanding and empathetic. She genuinely cares about the well being of her clients and sincerely shares the happiness when the case is approved. I definitely recommend Holmes &Ramos for immigration application. It’s such a blessing to have Stephanie Richard as my paralegal.

I'm not sure where all these positive reviews are coming from. Bots? Paid reviews? Or perhaps they only had a quick consultation? Regardless, this experience was far from reality for our case. I am a real person sharing my experience. I've never seen an organization act with as little empathy and professionalism as this one did with my family. Our application was relatively simple—married abroad and were applying for my wife to move to the US. We hired this lawyer to take out the guesswork and streamline the process. Unfortunately, once they had our money, they pretended we didn't exist, despite the urgency of our case. My father was dying of cancer, which I mentioned to them repeatedly, but they couldn't even review our documents within weeks, let alone respond to a very occasional email. It was a complete 'money grab,' with them doing less than the bare minimum. To be clear, I'm not overly emotional or careless—I graduated with high marks in a STEM degree and can fill out forms with ease. I understand that people need time to process documents, but every time I called, I was treated as a nuisance, despite calling only occasionally or when they missed their assured timelines. In retrospect, they seemingly charged us thousands of nonrefundable dollars to have them on retainer, promising professionalism and "hand-holding" through the application process, but then completely left us in the dark after being paid. Every one of our case managers seemed burnt-out or overworked during the 18 months we engaged with the organization, and each time they changed the paralegal (never with an explanation), it cost us an extra month or two. When the third paralegal disappeared, Melanie assured us she would take ownership of our cases. Weeks passed, and I was never able to speak personally with Melanie, the head attorney, despite multiple attempts to contact her. Never even met her. One year later, we're still waiting for her email. I came to my senses months later and switched attorneys. The next attorney was professional and answered our questions quickly. Within a few weeks, we finished the final steps, which should've been completed six months earlier. My biggest regret is choosing Holmes & Ramos over other attorneys because had we chosen another attorney, my wife would've been able to spend time with my father before he passed away, or at least attend his funeral. Holmes & Ramos was supposed to be an ally, but they turned their back on us. Three pieces of advice for anyone reading this: 1. For straightforward cases, do as much of your work and research as possible, and only call an immigration lawyer for a consultation if you have doubts. We wish we had known this. 2. Despite the inflated 4.1 Google review rating (as of Aug. 2024), Holmes & Ramos easily has one of the worst ratings compared to other immigration lawyers in San Diego (most are around 4.8 to 5.0 range). Don't just take my word for it, look for yourself. 3. Don't just trust someone's sales pitch; look for the red flags behind the smile.

I find myself in agreement with Ana and Ruben (recent reviews). I've never seen an organization act with as little empathy and professionalism as this one...

Unfortunately Holmes has retired, and Yvonne is also gone. Melanie Ramos is obviously not capable of keeping up. Her staff members along with her case...

Beware she will only take your money and will not respond to any of your emails or phone calls if it's an easy immigration case she will help you more...
