I recently visited the law office of Mark Hodgson seeking legal representation for a family law matter and a DVPO case. Unfortunately, my experience was profoundly disappointing and I cannot recommend this attorney. The consultation was alarmingly brief, lasting less than five minutes, during which Mr. Hodgson displayed a level of disrespect and aggressiveness I've never encountered before. His demeanor was not just unprofessional; it was demeaning. He fixated on a minor aspect of my evidence that could be misconstrued, undermining the strengths of my case rather than reinforcing them. When discussing the future steps, like establishing parenting plans post-DVPO, Mr. Hodgson offered no strategic insight. Instead, he questioned my desire for assurance from my legal counsel—a fundamental expectation in client-attorney relationships. His approach seemed to be aimed at sowing doubt rather than confidence, which I found counterproductive and unsettling. In comparison to four other attorneys I've consulted, who affirmed the viability of my case, Mr. Hodgson's attitude and approach were the least professional. Despite his office being well-appointed, it does not compensate for the lack of professionalism and empathy needed in sensitive legal battles. I strongly advise against engaging with this firm. My encounter with Mr. Hodgson was not only unhelpful but left me feeling insulted and undervalued as a client. This is not the quality of representation anyone should have to settle for, especially in critical personal matters.
