One attorney Matt Weger was helpful but the other attorney, Amit Ranade who handled the mediation did not listen to my input and edits on the brief for the mediator and was really frustrating to deal with. He also made it sound like I could go and record a confession of judgment which secured the settlement note down at the court house when in fact, I had to hire a new attorney, file a complaint, set a motion to record and it may result in a trial unless the other party pays and agrees to a dismissal. The other problem is that because I was so frustrated, they terminated the relationship before the documents could be finalized for the settlement and note left me to fend for myself. As a result of being un represented by their decision to not represent me any more, a key provision in the interest calculation in the promissory note was changed by the other side to simple interest from compounding interest which made me lose thousands of dollars of interest. They did this in an underhanded way which I didn't catch because the word revision tracking was turned off. While Matt Weger does a good job generally and has a good demeanor, Amit talks down to his clients in my experience, does not listen and does not represent the clients interests well. Very frustrating guy to deal with. The way he conducted himself led to my frustration which led them to end the representation before the job was done which wound up costing me a lot of money in interest and possibly attorneys fees unless I can get them paid by the other side.
