Clements Law Firm, PLLC
We are going through a parental termination/step-parent adoption case & when we talked to Cory during the consultation, he seemed like the best choice. I had a lot of anxiety through the termination portion, but he calmed my nerves assuring me we would be fine. He was always honest and upfront with me so I wouldn’t be caught off guard. During our hearing, he was amazing and very knowledgeable and he won our case! We haven’t gotten to do the adoption hearing yet, but I know when we do he will be great again!
I hired Mr. Clements to help me with a child support case. He was honest about my case and my options. He was a calm and even-tempered source of strength and knowledge when I was emotional and over wrought. I also liked the fact that when we met and talked about my case, I met with Cory every time, not an assistant. He took my calls and he answered my emails. Child custody and child support cases are difficult, Cory Clements helped me make the best decisions that yielded the best outcomes for me and my family.
I'm not sure why a waiver would need to be signed as no personal details need to be shared about my case for this review. When we hired Cory, he talked a big game. We really thought he would come through. He did come through to an extent but with CONSTANT pushing and updating of case details he should have already known. I could never get ahold of him and when I would call his office I was always told he was out of office and didn't know when he would be back in. I sent him numerous emails to which I got no reply back. There was a big meeting to which my lawyer needed to be involved and I sent him an email letting him know as well as phone calls. The day of the meeting I call his office and he has no idea what's going on and doesn't even know if he'll be able to make it to the meeting. So I prepared for him not to be there. Last minute he calls and says he'll be there. We had to have a personal meeting because Cory's communication skills were horrible, to which we were charged for that meeting. I tried disputing that charge by emails and calls and was ignored. Also when we would have personal update meetings regarding my case I had to update Cory on all the details over and over again. In the meeting he would act like he was paying attention but I always felt like he was looking through me when he would make eye contact. I never felt like an important client or like my case was important to him at all. He was supposed to also get an important piece of evidence for our case and always said he was working on getting it but he never followed through with it. The case was finally ready to be closed and the social worker tried contacting Cory multiple times to let him know which he received no response. I finally just contacted the social worker myself to find out how we can get the case closed and proceeded with that without Cory even though he was still my lawyer. The fastest response I have EVER gotten from Cory is when I decided to give a negative review. The positives are the case got closed. CPS doesn't like to mess with Cory because he's taken them to court before and destroyed them, just not for my case.
This guy was quick to take a retainer but his follow through was horrible. Will asked to be released from his responsibilities saying client was hard to communicate with but he knew I did not have access to email. This was in writing. How about phone calls or regular USPS??? Find someone else. JTS.
I, literally, just got out of my hearing. Outside of the courtroom, Cory had a very good demeanor and kept me on track with things. Inside the courtroom, though, Cory is a beast. He was very well prepared and just listening to Cory and watching him work was awesome.
Kentara was always there for the last year or so answering my questions or getting answers to my questions. Thanks to both of you regardless of the outcome.
