I hired Mark Blair to assist me with my motion to withdraw my plea after I initially filed it myself. He reviewed my motion and stated that he didn't think it was necessary to add any additional information or conduct further research, and the initial invoice was about $700-800. However, after I informed him that I wanted to drop the case, he changed the invoice link to about $3,500, including charges for research he had not done. This felt extremely deceptive and dishonest, especially since I paid him a total of $5,000 for minimal work, which primarily involved scheduling a hearing and contacting the court and the prosecutor. In the end, I only received about an $70 refund. I would caution others to be wary of this dishonest and unethical lawyer.
