The University of Puget Sound School of Law, Tacoma (Washington) opened its doors to law students on September 5, 1972. The law school was acquired by Seattle University 22 years later. In 1994, Sullivan Hall moved into its current location on the Seattle U campus. It is now called Sullivan Hall. While much has changed since its inception, there are some common threads that have remained constant over the years. Access to legal education has been a priority for law school. Practical skills like legal writing and representing real clients have been emphasized in the curriculum.
