We hired Ron Walker to help with my fiancé’s k1 visa. His price was higher than others but he boasted a better knowledge and track record than others. We agreed to pay for his expertise. We were denied our visa due to substantiation. I sent in everything that Ron Walker told me to. I asked if we should send more but he reassured me multiple times what we sent was enough. After being denied he gave us bad information on what the next step was. Then he raised the prices if we wanted him to continue to help us. When I asked if we could meet to discuss he told me he wouldn’t lower his price so why waste each other’s time. We found a different immigration lawyer in Troy and they were able to help us at about half Ron Walkers prices. They were professional and upfront the entire process and we were quickly approved with their help. I wish I could give 0 stars. He is way overpriced and under qualified based on my experience with him. Edit: in response to his comment about my review: we were denied our visa which you said was going to be super easy. You said our situation was so simple we probably didn’t need to pay your higher prices and a “lesser” attorney could probably handle our situation for cheaper. You boasted knowledge and high success rates. We payed for what we thought was better representation. Then we got denied because you didn’t have us follow the process correctly. Instead of sending all kinds of proof like pictures, and statements from family members etc… when they asked for substantiation, you said all we needed was a notarized statement saying we met a few times. If you use walker and associates I beg you to get everything in writing. I had verbal agreements with him and then when it came time to pay all of a sudden the fees were much higher than he originally stated. When I questioned him he said show me in writing where I said that. Because you screwed up our process we had to pay for rush service from another attorney. Their rush services charges for the whole process was still less than half of what walker and associates charged. From reading many other reviews it seems I’m not the only one with a bad experience. Do your homework before coming here. Also, please note almost all my other google reviews are 5 star so I’m not one to lightly give a terrible review, but walker and associates definitely deserves it.

I went to Walker when my father was detained by immigration. He put on this caring mask and pretended he had our best interest at heart but truly he was just concerned with his money. Lied and mislead us at a time we needed guidance!
