I can’t say enough good about Allie and Greg! They are the best lawyers in KC by far. I was looking at a serious felony charge in Platte county with many years in prison for a mental health related case. They were my 4th attorney’s that I hired trying to fight this overcharge. Greg and Allie came up with the only mental health defense out of all my lawyers. They were patient and extremely professional for YEARS as we took the case to trial. Eventually they had it dropped to a misdemeanor charge with time served, which I had done the year I was charged. They utilized expert witness doctors to help show my innocence and negotiated well with the prosecution over and over again. In the end their expertise and true care about their client shined through and I could not be happier with the outcome and peace I have in my life now after 5 years of waiting and stress. I thought my life was over for so long and thanks to them my future is clear and open. If you are stressing, facing heavy charges that can be explained by mental health or just in general, do not waste your time with “the right guy in this county” just hire Greg and Allie to see it through. They will fight to the end and use their knowledge to approach your case differently as needed! I could go on for days but just do yourself a favor and skip all the others. I consulted with 15 different lawyers across Kansas and Missouri, and Gregory Watt is by far the worst lawyer I have ever encountered. After reviewing his firm's reputation, I thought I could trust him to handle my cousin's case. However, it turned out to be a huge mistake and a failure for our family. He is essentially a scammer, putting money above any real concern for his clients. His tone and behavior are unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. He shows no respect for his clients, and his communication is blunt and condescending. Additionally, his firm operates without any proper systems or workflow, creating chaos and unnecessary frustration throughout the process. I strongly advise avoiding this lawyer at all costs.

My husband was represented by Greg. When we first meet Greg we were immediately handed off to another attorney by the name of Kathryn. She did not show up to court on the first day because she forgot and was preoccupied by her own personal stuff. She was later fired and Greg had to pick up the case. Greg is a smooth fast talker and not a good listener. He always tried to rush us either off the phone or end the conversation quickly while in person. He never asked for our evidence or anything to help my husbands case. We feel like Greg did not fight for him. Instead of him fighting to get the charges dropped on something that my husband didn’t initiate he was more worried about hurrying to leave to pick up his kids. I’m a parent and I understand parent pick up but he was paid to do Job. At that time his focus should have been the case at hand. Once my husband was told he was guilty Greg looked at me and the first thing out of his mouth was if we appeal it’s going to be expensive. Greg didn’t want to handle the case so he should have never taken the case from the beginning.
