Retained Scott to set up my professional corporation and he was amazing. Not only was he incredibly detail oriented and meticulous, but he was quick and efficient. I highly recommend Scott and his firm to anyone considering it. I will not look anywhere else next time I require services of this nature!

Every business owner occasionally finds themselves, after the fact, having inadvertently stepped into something they wish they hadn’t. It might be contractual, it might be employment related. Sometimes a business owner’s needs change and they need to incorporate or dissolve a corporation, form or dissolve on LLC, make up partnership agreements. Sometimes business owners find themselves involved in landlord disputes…. , In these matters and others, the clients of our tax and accounting practice have relied on the expert advice they’ve received from Scott Williams, Esq. and The Small Business Law Firm over the last two decades. Scott will give a client their best and worst case scenarios and viable options to work through or resolve them. He is knowledgeable, street-smart, proactive, detailed and very available to his clients. He operates with a high level of personal and professional integrity and values his relationships. An accomplished public speaker, Scott’s communication skills are admirable. We confidently refer Scott to our clients without any hesitation and when the need arises, we are grateful to be able to rely on his wisdom and intelligence ourselves.

I spoke with SW two different times. I wanted to retain his services for the several business acquisitions I had then and now. I proposed a deal at which he respectfully declined (not a problem). I recently approached him AGAIN and took into consideration of what his needs were last time. So I softly proposed some new terms seeing I would be giving him 2 separate deals and I wanted to negotiate the structure of his agreement (His Agreement clearly states its NEOGOTIABLE) "Client and Law Firm are free to negotiate different rates". Which is written in his contract that he provides to clients. Reading this, its clearly open for discussion, WRONG. He insulted me stating why I could not pay for his services and that he is not a finance company. Bad experience second time around, if he would have kept it professional like he had done previously, I would not be writing this review. As you can see from his response below: It was failed to mention that deposits were to be placed on both transactions presented to him. My review is for "prospective clients" to give a recent review in how he speaks with prospective clients. Once again, the response below tried to insult my ability to retain legal services....(legal services were retained because this owner was not the only law firm contacted). The only way I would remove this review is to receive a formal written letter of his apology in how he spoke to me. If this review is still here, it would be realized that this owner chose to not resolve this matter with a formal written apology for his actions and comments to a prospective client. Which would be slightly unheard of seeing it is a small business law firm that should be held accountable at the highest level for professionalism and interaction across all fields of business from first contact and how he presents himself and responds. You decide.

It is a pleasure to work with Scott Williams. Scott was easily accessible and very quick to turn around needed agreements. I appreciate that company documents are in an easy to read english instead of complicated and confusing legalize. Scott was also quick to learn complicated concepts unique to my business and this saved time and money. I highly recommend.

I have worked with Scott Williams for many years, and have referred a number of clients to him. He has always been professional and responsive, and I would not hesitate to refer my clients to him.

I don't recommend working with this law firm. Scott Williams doesn't understand his role related to representing you, doesn't ask questions to understand...

I was so lucky to choose Scott to represent me with a partnership dissolution. If only we went to him in the beginning when we started the business things...
