I am writing this review after service but think it is important people know how bad this lawyer is. I wish I could give 0 stars. They NEVER communicated with us. I emailed them months after our case had started to get an update and they had told us we were denied but they never told us??? When I asked why we were denied, they never replied. I emailed, called several times and even sent a letter to them and they never replied. We started services with another lawyer who stated our case was EASY to work with and should have an easier route compared to others. MackenZie Law Firm still would not reply not even to our new lawyers requests of records. Flash forward, we fixed our case within a year with a better ethical lawyer. Short story: save your money, they’re essentially a scam and go somewhere else.

I definitely do not recommend this “lawyer”. When we made the original consult appointment she forgot she had us on her schedule and was refusing to see us. She was in the other room yelling at the top of her lungs how “someone” scheduled us without her knowledge. I dont know why we decided to stay but I definitely regretted choosing her as our immigration lawyer. Our process took 6 years due to her lack of employees. She will not work on your case if her employees do not work on it. The first employee that was working our case quit, and she deleted all of our files from the computer. We had to pay for all the updated paperwork again and pay immigration and translating fees again even though this was the firms fault. She is very disrespectful. I am very grateful though that Yari was able to work our case when she came back to the firm.

I would like to share how disrespectful and unprofessional is this "lawyer" and reading the comments below I can see that other people have the same experience as me! I started working with her in the summer of 2021, when my case was denied due to incorrect info and this is why we had to hire a lawyer to help us resolve this. McKenzie was recommended to me and I told her how critical is my situation and why I need everything to be stright this time. This woman send to me all of the paper works with mistakes and incorrect information and when I asked her why is this happening, she said for her defense that it is our responsibility to check the information!!! We paid her almost $5000 so that WE can correct HER mistakes! This is so unprofessional for a lawyer! In 2022 I received a RFE for my green card and it took her more than a month in order to start working on it. She didn't answer any of our calls and neither of my emails. I was worried that something may happened to her, because even when we went to her office in Winston Salem she wasn't there. How can you be a lawyer who cannot be reached more than 3 weeks?! I decided to send her an email from different email like a new client and guess what.... she and her assistant answered immediately!! She was receiving my emails all along, but on purpose she didn't want to answer them!! FInally she send me back the RFE to sign it and it was wrong again. She put my name as a joint sponsor, which will lead my application to a complete rejection! Mistakes after mistakes!! SHAME ON YOU, Mackenzie! I I've been through so many stress, because of everything happening around my green card and you made my life miserable. And I paid you for that! The moment I saw how she is playing with me I switched to another lawyer from Dummit Fradin law firm and this lawyer is a true example of a responsible person who took my case seriously. Everything was done accurately on time and my case was approved. I just want to let you know that working so unprofessional with clients is punishable and I have proof of everything I'm saying. People, please be aware of this and don't trust "lawyers" like her!
