My experience hiring this office for my loved one who has 2 separate cases with criminal charges has been a nightmare. They are nice and make you feel like they actually care at first then the lack of communication and representation begins soon after. My loved one has serious criminal charges and was not provided his discovery nor did the attorney ever care to discuss it with him before a trial, because again there was a huge lack of care & communication. Nor myself or my loved one could get Mr. Hyde to communicate regarding his concerns for upcoming court dates. My loved one requested visits from his attorney that continuously went unanswered no matter what. Being transparent, At times we were behind on the bill but provided updates of when payments would be made and never received pushback until Mr. Hyde and his office blamed our poor service on late payments but as an attorney it is his job to keep his client updated on their case until they are no longer his client..he did not choose withdraw from the case he just demanded payment continued regardless of no communication being provided. My loved one only received updates from me and most of the time it was notices I found on the court website myself. Multiple times I had to tell him things over a recorded line just so he would know something, things that should of been privately discussed with his attorney but was not given that chance or notification. In the process of all of this Mr. Hyde filed an appeal on behalf of my loved one for his first case but then never provided the updates to us or advised on what our next step was based on those updates which has led to a dismissal of our appeal and now a whole other fight we have to battle. I asked for a bill break down and the bill shows us being billed for 8-12 hr days where my loved one saw the attorney for 45minutes to an hour. At one court date it wasn’t until after the fact that I realized Mr. Hyde had asked me to go get him some water in order to make a codefendant more comfortable while testifying. This contract was formed after being referred to Mr. Hyde by the bondsman we used, which in Florida is against the law, go figure. (Found that out after doing research) Mr. Hyde withdrew from our case only after collecting full payment of our contract and a formal complaint. Everyone deserves a fair defense and we did not get that here.
