Using fake name for protection. This law firm is by far the worst I’ve ever encountered. I was in a high-conflict divorce involving two minor children. The other party was abusive, never contributed financially, traumatized the kids, and even attempted to harm me. Jay, my attorney, quoted me a specific amount to handle my case, but that figure quickly skyrocketed. Instead of focusing on my case, he spent more time on the phone with my ex, explaining legal matters to him and providing legal advice to him and then charging me for those calls. When I confronted him about this, he claimed he would address it, but nothing improved. Shockingly, he pushed me to agree to shared custody with my ex, despite his documented abuse, drug issues, lack of involvement in childcare, and the fact that the children were terrified of him. We had police reports, witness statements, and even video evidence, but Jay failed to present any of it. I repeatedly emphasized that I had a strict budget and requested notification if costs were approaching that limit. He ignored this and exceeded my budget by over $2,000 in just one month. During this time, he only had two brief conversations with me but held nine or more calls with my ex, none of which benefited me. When I disputed these charges, particularly the ones related to my ex, he dismissed my concerns. I ultimately fired Jay after receiving yet another invoice without any meaningful progress on my case. A week after I let him go, my ex agreed to settle—proving that Jay’s involvement only prolonged the process unnecessarily. I spent over $10,000 on this firm with nothing to show for it. Anna Y., another attorney at the firm, was similarly unprofessional, handling two motions without listening to my input and treating me rudely throughout the process. She said she would get the needed information from Jay. If you are a parent or a victim seeking legal help, run from this law firm. They are incompetent, unprofessional, and appear more focused on maximizing their fees than genuinely helping their clients.

Anna Yakle lacks the interpersonal communication skills and professionalism necessary to represent anybody. After making repeated disparaging remarks about me, her client, that required me to file an Ethics complaint with the office of lawyers professional responsibility, The Firm subsequently withdrew, the only thing they did was take thousands of dollars of my money and abandoned me less than a month before trial. I will be pursuing a legal malpractice claim against this firm and caution anybody from considering them as a reliable or professional attorney, avoid this firm at all costs it is not worth the damage to your case. Look at how they respond to negative reviews on Google, by attacking the reviewer, which is exactly the kind of treatment I experienced as their client and you can see the same thing retold in numerous negative reviews of this firm. She should not be taking cases if she does not want to represent the parties, especially parties with disabilities! Now that they've replied to my review you can get a first-hand glimpse of how they treat people, they willfully violate attorney-client confidentiality in their public Google review response. I think that that just speaks volumes about the level of professionalism you can expect from this firm. Such conduct flies in the face of the American Bar Association opinion on their duty to confidentiality, opinion 480, feel free to look it up. Since writing this review the first time I got my file from them and was missing court filings out of it! Their response to me asking where these court filings that they charged me to read were? Oh we forgot to save them. Criminally negligent, and hopefully anybody who is considering to do business with these Crooks, goes to literally any other law firm. Nothing but a bunch of liars! This conduct is clearly throughout their firm, and they should be avoided at all costs.
