I was never informed the costs of a request for name change and was never informed that the former spouse was not required to restore maiden name. Mindi even at one point asked me if my wife wanted to restore her name..mind you this was requested on my ex-wife’s original first petition for dissolution of marriage!!! Incompetent! This cost me close to $500 and it was never explained to me that it did not require an actual restoration of the maiden name. Lawyer never once offered option to meet face to face. Very disappointed overall with my experience with Mindi. I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone.

Let me guess....wow sooo many have 5 stars! That may be BUT until you've that attorney and confide in them you cant possibly know if that person is the right fit for you. This is what TRULY separates Mindi from her peers. First and foremost, Mindi is exceptionally intelligent and knows the law bar none. Refreshingly, her most endearing quality is how she so effortlessly and sincerely combines her knowledge with genuine interest in easing the stress of divorce. Please do not interpret this as to imply that she is a personal therapist. This is not the case. However, Mindi’s demeanor and approach when explaining the laws and options for the best possible outcome creates a caring environment that helps in making confident decisions. Mindi will take the time to guide you and ensure any question or concerns are answered and understood. I cant remember at time when she didn’t hesitate to return my calls nor emails even when after hours. When dealing with an opposing attorney, she is forthright, unwavering and will support your requests (where legally reasonable) as if they were her own. Even more impressive is her candor when advising when requests will have a negative effect. She simply wont allow it and will strongly advice against it. Would never use this lawyer again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. So many times I had to send emails correcting mistakes that were made on my documents for my divorce. For example holidays were listed incorrectly & child support calculations had errors multiple times. Also this was an uncontested divorce, all terms were already agreed upon. I kept getting emails about additional details she felt I should include for example we had agreed to split the holidays however worked best for us but she wanted a set plan, then she sent an email again stating I should outline whose to have what holiday and for how long, then after I sent her an email doing that for each of the holidays listed she sent another email stating I didn’t really need to include the non major holidays. It was clear she was trying to pull a little extra money out of me each time. Terrible business ethics. Additionally, I came to her in summer 2023, with an uncontested divorce. I gave her whatever she asked for as quickly as possible and she still wasn’t able to get us officially divorced until May 2024. I had to replenish my retainer at one point and I find it ironic that it was used completely right at the end after our 5 minute zoom call for court. Find a different lawyer. This one made me feel like I had to keep a close eye on everything and it was very stressful, not the divorce, but this lawyer was the stressful part.
