I used them on a limited scope for a custody matter. Was given a price at the beginning to handle what I needed, and depending how it went I would possibly pay more down the road if we went to court. Well we got done what we needed to and I was left with some money left over. The First Lady I talked to (Justice) initially had said I would be credited my consultation if I decided to move forward with the limited scope. Well since I did in fact move forward I expected to be credited that money. Fast forward to the limited scope of work being complete, I was then asked to pay a retainer for future work. I had every intention to do so, but asked what my balance was and wanted to know what I still had in my account. The numbers they were giving me didn’t add up to what I had in mind. I thought somewhere around 1k still in the account. They said 800.00. Still no problem, I just needed them to verify it for me. Well, because I asked again about the money, I was dropped as a client as “this isn’t a way to do business”. It was a simple confusion that could have easily been handled and probably wouldn’t have even been an issue if the office staff hadn’t changed multiple times in the 2 months I did business with them. Outside of that I did feel Lori did a good job for me. But the way she handled my confusion was not only rude but has now left me having to start over with a new lawyer to continue protecting my rights to my daughter. I guess not the end of the world, but definitely not cool to do to someone who was simply confused. 3 different people told me 3 different things concerning a 200.00 credit which according to them I received. Very frustrating especially over 200.00. Got the outcome I needed in the limited scope so I will give a 2 star for that, but very unprofessional and demanding over nothing. Also very expensive considering other lawyers in the same town who do just as good of work cost less. Thanks for your help… I guess? 🤷🏻‍♂️
