I can not say enough great things about Slepian Ellexson! They really do work as a well oiled machine to get the best possible outcome for there clients. I had tried 2 other law firms and was eventually denied denied denied disability. I called and spoke directly with Eric Slepian and he agreed to take my case..... I appreciated the Slepian team for gathering my medical records and completing the forms. However, I really struggled to communicate with my case manager. She did not put out of office notices nor an alternative contact in her absense on her email. This caused a lot of anxiety when I got a notice from SSA requiring a response in 10 days. When I asked point blank (yes or no) questions, she responed with vague answers. At one point, she said the answer should have been obvious despite cognitive dysfunction being part of my disability. I got more help from online disabled communities. For example, to have my husband complete a 3rd party function report, instructions for my providers on how best to document my disabilities, and education that my providers need to document all of my disabilities at every visit. I asked if there was any specific tests I should have run to prove my disability, they said no. I found a 2 day cardiopulmonary exercise test on my own, which is the standard test for ME/CFS and long covid.
