I wish I could give 0 stars. This was the worst experience with a lawyer I have ever had. I was told he was going to come to court at 9am, he didn't show up. He text me at 10-1015am to tell me he wasn't coming but I could go to his office and join the zoom with him. I had already been inside the courtroom for over an hour when this message came in. Once the hearing started it was apparent he didn't prepare anything as he was stammering and stuttering over his words. He didn't present any of my physical evidence, he didn't even get the facts of the case correct, the amount of incorrect information that came out of his mouth was astounding. He essentially let the opposing party run wild and free without even so much as an objection to any of the false accusations being brought forth, even though I had physical evidence that directly contradicted the accusations, proving them to be false. He had nothing but excuses as to why things happened that way, but wanted to file a new motion which would require me to give him more money. This is ineffectual council at its core. Charging people money, claiming to have read and prepared for the hearing but not able to state correct facts, or even speak clearly and confidently as one would when they are familiar with the material. The other option is he had a side deal with the opposing council and decided to let them have this one. Whatever the case, I was robbed of my time and money, this is not what effective council looks like. Win or lose if the lawyer presents your case and evidence and it doesn't win at least the information was heard by the court. That was not the case here.

Dennis Schroeder is by far one of the greatest attorneys in Tacoma. He has taken a horrible family law case and turned it around within two hearings. He is definitely a father’s rights supporter. He believes what the children say. He is careful not to bash the opposing side, and helps his clients walk into a courtroom with dignity and grace no matter the circumstances. He also gives people with many different mental illnesses a platform to be heard. His office is located directly across from the courthouse, so it super convenient for those traveling long distances for hearings. I would give him more than 5 stars if it would let me. When panic calling attorneys, call this guy first!
