I recently received a summons from a mildly inebriated Rhode Island constable to report to Providence/Bristol County Superior Court because a woman who rear-ended me over three years ago was apparently now suing me. This struck me as a bit odd; however, I had no choice but to go along for the ride. I wasted hours and hours of my personal time calling insurance companies and performing all of my own amateur sleuthing in order to build up all of the preparations needed to defend myself; all while Wayne was presumably marinating neck-deep in the primordial sludge from which he came. As it turns out, he actually meant to file suit against the person who hit the plaintiff from behind—which then allegedly caused her to impact my vehicle. Long story short, he sued the wrong person because he is an incompetent fool. I will remind you, this is a lawsuit he has had a total of three years to prepare for. The sequence of vehicles could have easily been determined by simply taking a brief glance at the police report; reviewing this report would have also shown him that I was, in fact, the only driver in the incident to have not been cited with a violation. As of 01/02/2025, Wayne has officially dropped the case against me and filed for a complete dismissal. As for whether or not I will ever receive an apology from him, I highly doubt it. If you're ever in pain, don't call Wayne. Call a professional.
