100/10 Definitely the best injury lawyers I could have asked for. David, CJ, and Serena went above and beyond not only to win my case, but to make sure I was comfortable and well-informed through it all. I can never thank them enough. Highly recommend.

I recently worked with Ransin Injury Law as a Mental Health Counselor. I was testifying for my client. Attorneys and staff were always kind and professional. I highly recommend Ransin Law.

My boyfriend and I recently purchased a car from a dealership in Ozark, which unfortunately led to a lot of stress, tears, and wasted money. The car turned out to have several mechanical issues, as well as issues with the title and car fax reports not matching up with what we were told. We contacted Ransin hoping to at least get our down payment back, because at the time we thought we would just have to live with the mistake as well as a hefty monthly payment for a car that didn’t run. The people at Ransin Injury Law went above and beyond helping us sort out this mess, and when all was said and done we were able to not only get our down payment back, but the car off of our hands as well. We were contacted regularly with updates about our case and received explanations for anything and everything we didn’t understand. Going into this, we genuinely thought it was hopeless to pursue any legal action against the dealership, but from the very first time we got in contact with the people at Ransin, our hope was restored and we were able to come out on top of a bad situation. Thank you to everyone at Ransin Injury Law who helped us overcome this issue!

I had a great experience working with this law office. Serena was a pleasure to work with. Her responses were always fast. She took the time to explain everything so I could understand my options. I was getting nowhere with the insurance company on my own. She stayed on top of all the details and worked hard to find a resolution for my case. I couldn't have done it without her help. Honestly, I was hesitant to contact a law office, but I'm sure glad I did.

Although Ransin Law did not take my case because, fortunately, I was not tragically injured when a 16-year old boy made a left turn in front of me on Republic Road, David Ransin talked with me for over a half hour to explain his services and why they have to on the more complex and tragic cases. He was very kind and down-to-earth and gave me the name of an attorney who could help me. I hope I never need his services, but, if I do or know of someone who does, I would highly recommend David Ransin's Injury Law office.

AAL general personal injury Frequently Asked Questions

What is personal injury law?

Personal injury law encompasses legal remedies and defenses involved in civil lawsuits brought as a result of wrongful conduct. It covers situations where someone's negligence or intentional actions cause harm to another person. Personal injury law allows injured individuals to seek compensation for their losses, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. This area of law often involves cases such as car accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and defective product injuries.

What is compensation for a personal injury claim?

Compensation for a personal injury claim typically includes monetary damages intended to compensate the injured party for their losses. This compensation can cover various aspects such as medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, lost wages or income, property damage, and pain and suffering. The goal is to provide financial relief to the injured person and help them recover from the physical, emotional, and financial impact of their injuries.

Is emotional distress a personal injury?

Emotional distress can be considered a personal injury under certain circumstances. In legal terms, emotional distress refers to the psychological impact of an injury or traumatic event, such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). While it may not always involve physical harm, emotional distress can still be compensable in a personal injury claim if it can be linked to the defendant's actions or negligence.

What percentage do most personal injury lawyers take?

Most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, which means they only get paid if they successfully recover compensation for their clients. Typically, personal injury lawyers take a percentage of the final settlement or court award as their fee. The percentage varies but commonly ranges from 33% to 40% of the total recovery. This arrangement allows injured individuals to pursue legal action without upfront costs and ensures that attorneys are motivated to achieve favorable outcomes for their clients.

How long does a personal injury lawsuit take?

The duration of a personal injury lawsuit can vary significantly depending on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the extent of the injuries, and the court's schedule. Some cases may be resolved through settlement negotiations relatively quickly, while others may take months or even years to reach a resolution, especially if they go to trial. Additionally, factors such as gathering evidence, conducting discovery, and waiting for medical treatment to conclude can influence the timeline of a personal injury lawsuit.

What is an example of a serious injury claim?

An example of a serious injury claim could involve catastrophic injuries that result in long-term or permanent disabilities, such as traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries leading to paralysis, severe burns, or limb amputations. These types of injuries often have significant and lasting effects on the victim's physical, emotional, and financial well-being, requiring extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing care. Serious injury claims typically seek substantial compensation to cover these extensive damages and provide for the victim's future needs.

What is compensation for a loss or injury?

Compensation for a loss or injury refers to the financial recovery awarded to an injured party in a legal proceeding. This compensation aims to restore the injured person to the position they were in before the injury occurred to the extent possible. It can include economic damages, such as medical expenses and lost wages, as well as non-economic damages for pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life. The goal of compensation is to help the injured individual recover physically, emotionally, and financially from the consequences of their injury.

What is the highest personal injury settlement?

The highest personal injury settlement or verdict can vary greatly depending on the specific circumstances of the case, including the severity of the injuries, the extent of the damages, and the jurisdiction where the case is tried. Settlements and verdicts in personal injury cases have reached into the tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars in some instances, particularly in cases involving catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, or wrongful death. However, there is no fixed limit on the amount of compensation that can be awarded in a personal injury case, as each case is evaluated based on its unique factors and the applicable laws and precedents.
