I had a terrible experience with partner Ted Walters in Naples. He went on vacation during my real estate closing, so I could only text him to speak with him while he was on his cruise. Then, he charged over double the “flat rate” promised in his engagement letter right before the closing. So I suddenly had the choice of derailing the close, or accepting the high bill. When I inquired about it, he refused any help or compromise on the high bill at all, even having the audacity to order me not to text him any more about it while he was on vacation. Well, the closing was the next day, and he needed to be available. In my opinion, his behavior was unacceptable for an attorney who is supposed to be on his client’s side. I cannot recommend this firm, based on my experience.
