UPDATE 2/13/2025: This interaction should be a clear message to you, a potential future customer. As shown, the customer is always the problem and complaints are deemed irrational. I have laid out my key points for anyone that wants to hire this law firm. Do your research, lay out expectations, and have multiple conversations with them. Do not proceed unless you’re 100% ok with their practices. Once again, in my opinion, if you prefer good customer service and communication with a firm, please look elsewhere. Ortega, Canossa, and Associates, PLC is not the option for you. Original:They got the work done, which is great. However, I was constantly on edge because of the lack of communication by this law firm. You almost never speak to an actual lawyer. You’re thrown around between different receptionists. Some know what they’re doing, but most do not. They make it almost impossible to talk to an actual lawyer to get real updates on your case. They make no effort to make your experience smooth and straight forward. They fool you by being super nice and always respectful. I went with Ortega y Canossa because of the reviews. But I honestly had a horrible experience. My case took about a year. Worst year of my life. Constant stress & zero communication from lawyers. I met my actual lawyer that represented me the day of my interview. Ridiculous. If you’re used to good communication and good customer service, this is not the place. Most lawyers can handle your case and get the results you need. Find someone who values customer service and is transparent with their fees. I ended up paying about $3K in hidden extra fees after I was done with them, that’s on top of the initial cost. I do not recommend this firm. I do not share the same experience as the other reviewers. *Updated: they responded. No, it’s not a mistake. There was no transparency with fees, you barely talk to an actual lawyer, the communication is lacking, and your case is tossed around to different receptionists who try to answer questions beyond their qualifications.* Again, this was my experience. Everyone seems to love these people. But my experience was awful. It’s not mistake. It already happened. But everyone should know! You can very easily end up in my position. You can even see, they don’t take any accountability. Claiming they can’t control personal emotions. This isn’t about emotions, the service was horrible. Take your money elsewhere. UPDATE 2/12/25: Yes, you are assigned a case manager. However, case managers are constantly changing so technically you do not have a designated person. Some are more passionate about their work than others. And yes, you do have the lawyers # and may call, but this doesn't mean you will be able to reach that lawyer, ever. Also, extra fees have and will always come up. All i am saying is be mindful, they will come up. Theoretically, they have the rules set in place to cover themselves. Unfortunately, this doesn't reflect in practice. Key Points to consider: 1. Reaching your lawyer is difficult, close to impossible. 2. Your case manager will always change, I was tossed around between 2-3 different managers. 3. Extra fees will come up. Make it clear in the beginning that you want full transparency of all upfront fees and expected fees. Even then, you will have surprises. I over spent about $3K. 4. You will most likely never meet the lawyer representing you until the day of your interview. For me personally, this was not professional. You are dealing with a serious moment in your life and you don't even know who's representing you. I will not let these people undermine my experience. It's what happened. And I will not praise them for doing their job. Most immigration lawyers could take your case within reason and get your issue solved. Go somewhere that values customer service, and will not dismiss your experience as they have done in this review section. Final Point: do your research, have multiple conversations, and set your expectations before you sign anything.

The most efficient lawyers I've heard of. My family member told us about them and how trustworthy they are, we called them for a consultation and well everything went from there. I would recommend this place to people that need the services.
