Beware of this law firm. Tim was pleasant at first, had an assistant that was concern about my case and the many other clients I brought to him for the same reasons. It’s been 3 years and no response no answer. What a waste of time. Maybe he has too many cases on his hand where he can’t keep up but don’t waste others. So if you don’t want to wait years without answers and to be ignored go elsewhere. Because now my statute of limitations are up and I no longer have a case and the others that had a case with this firm as well wasted. Thx Tim!

It is hard to find people to prioritize their customers. Tim Cojocnean took a cold call from me last Friday. I needed his help on a legal issue. Despite the fact I probably had limited potential for generating significant revenue, he took my call and allowed me to give him some background and explain the issue. He the promised to look at the materials by Monday (next business day). He followed up and called me as promised and provided me great advice. Lastly, he didn’t even charge me for his time. He was more concerned about generating a new customer and goodwill. Just wanted to share my experience to all !!!

I run a small California-based nonprofit. We're a statewide organization, that has always worked with contractors on a limited basis so that we can provide services in each of the 58 counties. A recent law change and subsequent EDD ruling led us to believe that we may need to reclassify our contractors (who actually prefer to be contractors) as employees, which threatens both our business model and our viability. The timing of the EDD ruling was bad, as it appeared to disqualify us from the SBA loans that could help us survive the shelter-in-place shutdown (which has also caused our private contributions to drop to $0 for the time being). I called Orange County Employment Law Firm, hoping to take advantage of a free (brief) consultation to gain an understanding of the changes we needed to implement to be in compliance with the new law. Dr. Davis (the attorney I spoke with) went above and beyond with his time to explain our situation to me. He advised that the EDD ruling was likely incorrect, that we should challenge it, and the next steps of how to proceed with the challenge. This may seem like a routine exchange between a business and a law firm - and, indeed, in normal times it would be. But these are not normal times! Like all businesses, we are trying to figure out how to survive during shelter-in-place and the resulting recession. Losing our ability to apply for an SBA loan while simultaneously having our fringe costs skyrocket threatened to put us out of business, and Dr. Davis generously spent his own time (while I am sure he is facing his own challenges) to help guide us through this challenge. For that, and for the good advice, we are extremely grateful. We will obviously bring all of our legal business to Orange County Employment Firm in the future as budgets allow, and cannot recommend them highly enough.
