Honest Review of My Experience with James Murphy I retained James Murphy in 2023 after an accident, and while I stayed with them for the duration of my case, I was not particularly impressed. My biggest issue was the lack of communication. I constantly had to reach out for updates, and even then, responses were slow and often vague. Having worked for a personal injury attorney for seven years, I understand that cases take time and don’t require constant updates, but basic communication is expected. Unfortunately, there was little sense of urgency or proactiveness in handling my case. On multiple occasions, I had to step in and handle things myself—contacting medical providers, following up on paperwork, and moving things along because the firm did not seem to prioritize my case. Given their many positive reviews, I’m unsure if my experience was an exception or if my expectations were just higher. In 2025, after another accident, I initially retained them again for convenience. However, I quickly realized that nothing had changed. Communication was still lacking, and I encountered multiple issues, including unreturned calls and frustrating interactions. When I expressed my concerns, they withdrew from my case—an outcome that ultimately worked in my favor, as I was able to find another attorney who has been much more professional and responsive. While others may have had positive experiences, mine was disappointing. If you value regular updates and a proactive approach, you may want to explore other options.
