I cannot recommend David Monarch highly enough. From start to finish, he handled both my domestic violence restraining order against my ex husband and my very ugly divorce with unmatched expertise, professionalism, and strategic precision. His deep knowledge of family law, combined with his ability to anticipate every possible scenario, gave me complete confidence throughout the process. Beyond his legal acumen, David was a steady and reassuring presence during an emotionally challenging time. He was always responsive, thorough, and committed to securing the best possible outcome for me. His negotiation skills are second to none, and he fought for my best interests with unwavering dedication. If you need a divorce attorney who is sharp, compassionate, and truly invested in your success, David Monarch is the one to call. Five stars all the way!

David Monarch is the best of the best. His attention to detail in a tricky divorce is scary and very stressful. He has a very calm demeanor and knows how to treat his clients that puts their minds at ease. I have and will continue to recommend David Monarch to all my friends and family in regards to anything family law. The entire staff at Monarch Law is friendly and very professional, I always felt welcomed and cared for. I have always heard terrible things about attorneys but this firm is not at all like that. You are a priority! David Monarch was always fully prepared and made sure I was well informed and understood everything in regards to my divorce and custody of my child. Most of the time I was full of anxiety and Mr. Monarch was always easy going and lightened the mood which I appreciated in such a high stress situation. I am thankful my divorce is in my past now and moving forward in a positive direction.

David stood by my side for several years in my case. He is professional, understanding, and reasonable with what is worth my time and money to fight for. Most of all, he guided me through every step of my journey and I fully trusted his legal knowledge and counsel. He is well respected by other attorneys and the family court, which speaks volumes about his ethics and reputation.

I won't be surprised if my review gets deleted. This is a long time coming. If you're looking for a family attorney to handle a simple divorce or settlement, Mr. Monarch may be able to assist you. He is responsive via email and text, which is a positive. However, if you are facing a high-conflict custody case, especially involving possible abuse, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Over an 11-month period, I was charged approximately $44,000 for three hearings, during which I never even heard Mr. Monarch speak on my behalf. His legal strategy seemed to rely on waiting for the opposing party to make a mistake rather than actively advocating for my child’s best interests. Not to mention, my ex didn't even have a lawyer, he was self represented and Mr. Monarch still struggled. From the beginning, he assured me that my case would be straightforward—my daughter, nearly 14 at the time, was fearful of seeing her father and had refused contact. He stated she would only be required to attend reunification therapy once a week. However, this was far from the reality. Instead, I was encouraged to hire a reunification therapist (please don't ever hire a reunification therapist) recommended by the minor’s counsel—whom I later realized was part of the same professional network (please do not ask for minor counselor or GAL either, they won't help). This decision significantly harmed my daughter and reinforced my belief that the family court system is deeply flawed. The most alarming moment came right before a short trial when Mr. Monarch rehearsed a statement with me—only to enter the courtroom and, alongside minor’s counsel, claim that we had reached an agreement. I was blindsided, as no such agreement had been discussed with me. Even the judge later (another hearing) stated that parts of what Mr. Monarch attempted to add to the agreement were not legally valid. Ultimately, I fired him after that hearing. In hindsight, I believe my case would have been better handled if I had represented myself, sought support groups, or used resources like ChatGPT for legal research. If you are considering hiring Mr. Monarch, I urge you to think carefully—especially if you are dealing with a high-conflict custody case. Legal representation should be about advocacy, not just billing hours, especially when there are children involved. PS – Please note that in any custody case he has won (or any attorney), it is likely that the father was his client. The family court system often favors fathers in custody disputes when claims of parental alienation are made against the mother.
