I had been fighting for custody of my daughter for nearly four years. She was my public defender in a dhr case. She's very nice while you're getting mangled by dhr's shady and dishonest methods. DHR wasn't following the court order and I begged her to force them and she refused. My family was violating the order also and not letting me have visits ...my lawyer didn't care .For almost a year and even with tons of documented evidence she wasn't interested. They would have railroaded me if not for me understanding the conflict of interest because this lawyer sure didn't catch it and wasn't interested. I read the rules of conduct for attorneys in Alabama and the oath they take . I found many violations of her own rules of professional conduct and the oath she took was completely ignored. She did not "demean herself"as an attorney. She didn't build trust with me, she didn't put my mind at ease she didn't have any strategy. She was fast forwarding to trial. She is supposed to strategize to achieve my goals and if I ask her to do something in the case she's supposed to work with me to get it done unless she's not able to and then she's supposed to explain why. Oh no none of that from her. She doesn't give a damn about my children or me.When I told her I had video of a violent incident that was committed by my son's new temporary Guardian... where they busted my sliding glass door in the back of my house trying to break in with a pistol while I was on the phone with 911 ON VIDEO and that's where my son is placed???...MEREDITH didn't care that my son was in danger. I Have my kids recorded talking about family using drugs around them Meredith didn't care. She just wanted to fast forward to trial so I can lose in a rigged system. She doesn't care about Justice or what's right or wrong or her oath or the rules of professional conduct for attorneys in Alabama. She's just collecting a check. And if she has to choose between you or her beloved co-workers with DHR...YOU... a parent going through a traumatizing event, your children going through a traumatizing event...... she's going to pick DHR no doubt about it! She doesn't want to make waves at the office by defending her client .If you have a DHR case with this lawyer just understand she is there to stroke your cheek and hold your hand while you get destroyed. She's going to be there to wipe your tears and fake smile as you get robbed by a corrupt Shelby County DHR. She's going to try to speed up the process rushing head first into dangerous trials with absolutely no preparation. You won't get a sit-down meeting with her or even a decent phone call so you can talk about strategy. She already has a strategy and the strategy is you lose and it's predetermined. If Meredith is your lawyer and Erin is your judge in a dhr case, you're done for. Record everything document everything it's the only way you're going have any hope because Lord knows you're going to get some good incriminating evidence on them but it's going to be hard to hold them accountable cuz this is what they do. It's a corrupt system. They have the perfect setup now. The Judge Erin and your own public defender Meredith is in dhr's pocket. If your family uses DHR as a weapon against you with false allegations and 0 proof and you don't cower in fear when DHR commands you..... they will make you pay.They have their judge and they will plant Meredith right beside you to kill your case from the inside. She lacks integrity and she's forgotten her oath.
