John “Luke” McKean has been getting justice for people injured and killed by the fault of others for 30 years. He is an experienced and effective trial attorney. Luke was raised in Kent, Washington, the son of a Boeing Aerospace engineer and a music teacher. He was a National Merit Scholar and was awarded the Scholar/ Athlete award for 1968 for Washington State by the National Football Foundation.
Luke attended the University of Oregon Honors College and graduated with a degree in political science. At Oregon he was chosen All-PAC 8 and Honorable Mention All-American in football. Two notable teammates were Ahmad Rashad and Dan Fouts. Luke was drafted by the LA Rams, but chose to pursue other interests.
Luke operated the family farm and orchard in Grant County for 8 years. He then graduated from the University of Puget Sound Law School and returned to Grant County to practice law in 1983. Luke’s areas of practice focus on personal injury, wrongful death, worker’s compensation and social security disability. Luke also handles criminal, real estate and probate matters.
