I wanted to take the time to give feedback and express my utmost appreciation for the work and results Mr. Halsey produced representing me during my divorce proceedings. First of all I began with another lawyer here in town that cost me in retainer fees twice the amount than what Mr. Halsey required to take over my case. My divorce took over a year and a half to finalize and Mr. Halsey took over at the midway point or a bit prior during this time. My lawyer though extremely expensive had done me such injustice by his lack of properly listening to my requests and concerns as well as never taking the time to properly familiarize himself with my case. After he and I parted ways the work and effort needed in my case was so overwhelming ( in my eyes ) and the damage caused by previous lawyer accepting everything my ex was asking for and he telling me that “ I am lucky “ this is all she wants and that I need to accept her terms. I felt completely taken for a ride and defenseless. Mr. Halsey took the time on our first meeting ( which was over an hour and he did not charge me a dime for ) to completely familiarize himself with my case. He was incredible. He could not believe how poorly my previous lawyer had represented me and saw that I was desperate and running out of money to afford proper legal representation. Mr. Halsey required half the amount of retainer fees and immediately went to work getting us back in front of the judge as well as speaking with my ex regarding her requests before finalizing our divorce. We were prepared every time we were due in court Mr. Halsey presented everything we had discussed during our meetings professionally to the judge as well as getting my ex to agree to terms that were fair and final.
