When we first started working with this law firm, as our family was seeking asylum, they were reassuring and confident that they could represent us. Prior to them migrating to the U.S., Manuel Solis' team assured us they could get them asylum. Communication was great, they followed up with us and made the process look seamless. Unfortunately, once we paid, their communication and willingness to help practically disappeared. Our family was in a detention center and their job was to try to get them parole to fight their case on the outside. We'd request updates and it'd take them weeks to get back to us, and that was with us constantly reaching out. It got to the point where I requested proof that work was being done on their part. It took their team 2 weeks to get me proof of what they had been doing. During their absence with updates, their office would call but it was for us to pay for the process of our other relative! During these calls, I would request an update for my first relative which they couldn't provide. They then would reach out asking if we wanted to contract them for representation at the final immigration hearing. That made us lose even more trust in them since their priority was to get them out on parole and not have them fight their case while detained. This went on for a couple more months until they called us and stated they were dropping his case because the lawyer in charge was taking time off, it was too complicated for another lawyer to take over, and that we waited too long. We are incredibly disappointed in the way that Manuel Solis' team has handled our case. It is even more disappointing that they are telling us WE waited too long when a lot of the waiting was on them for updates and communication. They only time they seemed to care was if I told them I had my credit card handy. We know that they probably oversee many other cases, and we aren't the only ones facing this unfortunate circumstance, but we put our trust in them to help our family member and all we asked for was professionalism with communication. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone as I'd hate to see another family get tossed around with false hopes.
