Doug, has been the worst retained lawyer I have had. Looks like a few years ago he was great but something must have happened since he can no longer care for his clients once he accepts them in. This is horrible at how he is treating people. If you can’t follow through then just stop taking on new cases. If it is a case not worth your time let us go to another attorney. These are peoples lives and credit you are playing with and it is completely unacceptable! I have not been able to reach you for over 4 months after several attempts through emails, calls, and texts. I even went to the Addison office and tried to reach you there. I was told no one has seen you there in a while. My daughter is working on college applications and loans and this has caused us some set backs as my credit has dropped quite a bit with all the bills from my accident. The bills you were supposed to have been handling. The biggest issue I have seen with me and other reviews is your lack of communication. I just want to know what’s going on to help me fight for what is right. I am ready to put all this behind me but you are making that very difficult. I can only pray that behind the scenes you have been a faithful and honest man doing what’s right and in my best interest. However until I know and hear back from you I will continue to reach out and fight!

called fri never heard back tell tuesday said he was in classes not taking new cases because he was in class and sent me two other attorneys that couldn’t help my case was against city of ft worth road department for my injuries he seem like he didn’t care.

I retained Doug and the communication has been terrible! Our last conversation ( 2 months ago) was we were settling the claim, here is the amount, and we need to put you and your wife’s name on check… Cool, but have not received payment, have called and left messages at least 10 times along with emails to follow with no replies. I will be contacting the state soon to make a formal complaint. Stay far away from this “firm”…

I hired Doug back in August of this year. At first he seemed very nice and attentive. But then as time went by he started taking a long time to reply to emails and after having to send multiple emails told me they were going to his spam folder which isn’t true if you communicate with an email back and forth. Then after that there was no communication at all. I called and left a message saying that was the last attempt attempt to get him to respond to my email. No response, so I fired him. TO THIS DAY I have yet to receive my case file or a letter of withdrawal of representation. It is clear he is retaliating against me. Without the letter of withdraw of representation I cannot hire another lawyer OR move forward with my lawsuit directly with the opposing parties insurance. This is absolutely outrageous and unprofessional. I can only hope he will choose to do the right thing by sending me my case file and sending the withdrawal letter to the insurance company.

Doug is a great attorney. He took care of my auto accident claim promptly, and answered any questions I had. I also had one of my hospital bills go into collections for non-payment. I was able to contact Doug a year after the accident, and received a copy of the check the hospital claimed they didn't receive. I highly recommend this guy!
