Hands down the best lawyer you’d want to represent you. Saved my ass twice now. Thank you Mr. Kover. You are a gift to us that we don’t deserve but need.

It was my privilege to serve as a first-time juror in Pacific County. All - judge, bailiff, County Clerk, court staff, law enforcement officer, state prosecutor - were exemplary, none more so than Justin Kover, defense lawyer. Honestly stated, my "abiding belief" is the defendant was well-served by defense counsel, Mr. Kover, whose legal arguments created reasonable doubt regarding the state case before us. I came away from this experience with a new-found respect for American rule of law, and ask all citizens to reconsider a prevailing attitude too often found, that of trying to avoid jury service.

Overwhelmed and underwhelming. Do not expect him to return your phone calls or answer your legal questions. Anticipate waiving your right to a Speedy trial multiple times because he never found the time to get around to your case.

UPDATED 7/4/24 Mr. Kover has added a comment. I would like to respond. First of all- He actually sent me a pretty disparaging text after my sentence when the media had questions. Let's refresh here- This man made me sign a plea deal as I cried hysterically and said THIS IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. Ask him about the witness in the room. Kover didn't even attempt to defend me or do his job past showing up for waiving speedy trail and 2 week check ins every Friday. Do not let him represent you or anyone you care about. A year later and I regret that plea deal more than anything in my life. It has affected my career, ability to work, and mental health. It has also affected my safety in the small community I live in. Justin Kover is a lazy lawyer, and his words to me as I signed the plea agreement were "I had a felony and it didn't stop me from being an atty ". Good for you. You've effectively ruined my life and many others. Feel proud? Original post: Well, after serving a 25 night stint at Washington States most rapt county jail, courtesy of Mr. Kover's unwillingness to do the bare minimum as my court appointed legal council, in my humble opinion, I have a few thoughts to share 1. Do not let this gentleman make you waive right to speedy trial. Again. And again. No, sir. 2. Do not let legal council push you into a plea agreement. His leverage will be he can't do any better and you're facing hard time if you try to defend yourself, this is In My Personal Opinion, a scare tactic. Nope. Send his hiney back for another go round or two. Or go to trial by jury. 3. His nickname at Pacific County jail is "bend me over, kover". For a reason. All the coulda woulda's, I should've pushed for speedy trial before the charges were changed from "theft of a casket by misdelivery" to 14 counts of identity theft. Yours Truly, now an ugly old white man, (identity theft???!) formerly Melissa Meadow
