2-6-2025 Update..... it's been 5 months since my case was settled. I have tried contacting Alex at Kent Law each month for an update on when I will be getting my money and though she responds quickly, my requests appear to be very annoying and bothersome. She is often angry and condescending over the phone, telling me that they are working on getting lien reductions, but I have yet to see any progress in this area. I have asked several times if there is anyone else I should be talking to about my concerns, but she continues to state that she is my only contact. I would also like to mention That you need to read the contract very, very carefully. I hired Rafi Law, but when my case went to litigation, Rafi Law transferred my case to Kent Law. I was not given a choice. I was told that if I wanted my case to continue to move forward, I had to sign this new contract with kent law. I understand that it's one hundred percent my fault because I am ignorant In how all of this worked. I did not know that.I could possibly go with someone else. I trusted Rafi Law. Rafi Law was only charging me 30%, but Kent Law wanted 40% PLUS In very small print it also said "and expenses". That's where they get you. So the 40% ($108,000) apparently was not enough for Kent Law. They wanted to nickel and dime me and added an additional $3,600 to my bill. These weren't even hard expenses. You know like something they paid on my behalf. No, they charged me for getting my medical records, even though they asked me to provide those myself.Which I did three different times and the hospitals all gave them to me for free. FREE. Sadly though Kent Law did not stop there. They also charged me for phone calls and faxes and emails. Silly me thought that was all covered under the 40%. I was very disappointed by how much extra I was charged especially considering I only spoke to "the" attorney 2 times for about 10min each. Lesson learned... Just because you win a settlement does not mean you are going to get paid. Kent law will nickel and dime you and they will hold your money, I believe in an interest bearing account that they collect on, for an unidentifiable amount of time. Plus If you call to check up on it once a month.They will be mean to you about it and treat you like an annoyance rather than a client. I will update this review each month as I wait. Hopefully sooner than later I will get some resolution. TBD This review (below) was written on the day my case was settled- Sept 6th 2024. Kent Law really helped me and my family out during my car accident. Alex D was my main point of contact and she handled everything timely and with the utmost professionalism.
