After a road rage incident where I crashed my car fleeing from someone trying to gun me down, I was booked with DUI because the local PD did not want to believe my story and quickly made up their mind that I was a lair. I called about 10 attorneys trying to find someone who would not only believe my case but also fight it. All other attorneys decided that I should argue for a plea. Jason took my case seriously and fought with all evidence he had. He was always very down to earth and honest when he believed something might be a challenge. At the trial hearing, i was blown away by how confident and serious his argument was and did not back down once to prove why I crashed. He challenged every argument the state made. Jason was able to win my case. I am thankful that he was the only attorney that took my case seriously and not just an attorney thats looking to make a quick case with a plea deal.

Jason and his partner Scott were hired by my brother and i to defend us against a very unjust charge from the department of New Mexico Game and Fish. Jason was very cooperative with me and my brother. He was willing to have meetings with us when we expressed concern and was 100% honest and crystal clear with everything. Jason was very professional while still being very down to earth and realistic. He gave us complete confidence in our case and was willing to break down anything we didn’t understand. Definitely do recommend for anyone needing a very very good lawyer with experience and an abundance of knowledge of the law

My brother and I had to hired Jason and his partner Scott to defend us against a very unjust charge from the department of New Mexico Game and Fish. Both individuals were professional, very down to earth, and quick to answer any questions we had. Jason always kept me up to date on what he was doing and always willing to work with mine and my brothers busy schedules. The overall experience of Jason and Scott’s legal defense gave us peace of mind and complete confidence in our case. I would absolutely recommend these two for anyone who needs honest hardworking lawyers with and abundance of knowledge and experience in the law.

My name is Dr. Clifton Higgins. I am a dentist from Arkansas. I enjoy hunting and fishing with my children. In the Spring of 2023 I was turkey hunting with my 14 year old son in New Mexico. I produced a series of videos of our hunting excursion and posted them on YouTube. A few weeks after we returned home I received a phone call from a NM Game & Fish Officer. He made several accusations which were untrue. He stated that one of the two turkeys we showed in our video looked like a hen (which would have been illegal to shoot). The two turkeys harvested were gobblers and I checked them both on the NM G&F website. The officer stated that I only checked one bird. I fortunately had screen shots on my phone of both e-tags, proving that I had checked both gobblers. The officer was bound and determined to make an arrest. He told me that he would be sending me several citations in the mail, and he also threatened me with a bogus felony charge based on a law from 1901 that had to do with the transportation of animal parts (buffalo horns) across the NM state line to sell in other states. He said this ancient law applied to me transporting an illegally harvested animal across the NM line. The officer tried every way he could to get me to admit wrong doing over the phone. I assumed he was recording our conversation, and he was. When he started using the word “felony”, I was finished talking! I knew I was going to have to find myself a great attorney in NM. Several days later, I received TEN citations in the mail from that Wildlife Officer. If I was found guilty of everything I was being charged with, I would have lost my hunting privileges in EVERY STATE in the U.S. for the next THREE YEARS! I immediately began the search for an attorney. I told my wife that I needed someone who would fight tooth and nail to win my case. I wanted an attorney who would charge the gates of Hell with a water pistol on my behalf, and I found just that attorney in Mr. Jason Alarid! I knew from my first conversation with Mr. Alarid that he was the person I wanted to fight for me in the legal arena. The whole process took longer than a year! I was under constant stress and worry that I might lose my hunting rights for three years, and possibly face a trumped up felony charge which would take away all of my firearms and prevent me from hunting with my children and grandchildren, and not be able to protect my family with a firearm for the rest of my life! Firearms are part of my everyday life and extracurricular endeavors. I and my sons are Cowboy Action Shooters. We have even competed in the World Championship of CAS in Albuquerque, NM. I am an NRA certified trap shooting coach and have coached the trap shooting team where my children go to public school in Arkansas for many years. I also serve on my church’s security team, and have been trained by law enforcement officers in how to protect our church congregation in the event of an active shooter. These are all reasons why I had to have the best attorney I could get to protect my rights and get me out of this jam, and Mr. Jason Alarid was even more than I could have hoped for! He and his staff worked diligently through the entire legal process. They were always prompt to answer any of my questions and to keep me well informed of all proceedings. After more than a year, my case came down to a final hearing on motions which Mr. Alarid had filed with the District Attorney to dismiss my case. That hearing, set for 2:00pm, would decide whether my case would be dismissed, or if I was going to have to go back to NM and face a jury trial. That hearing never happened! Just before 9:00am the day of the hearing, the NM District Attorney filed a motion dismissing my case based on “Insufficient Evidence”! I can honestly say that I have never in my entire life felt such a RELIEF! After more than a year, it was OVER! I give thanks to God for leading me to Mr. Alarid, and for God using him and his staff to walk into the “lion’s den” and close the mouth of the lion!
