Maria was born and raised outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The descendant of coal miners and railroad workers, she has devoted her career to advocating on behalf of the "little guy." Maria maintains a diverse practice with a focus on helping those who have been seriously injured.

After graduating cum laude from Widener University School of law, Maria practiced with firms in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where she handled all types of personal injury claims and focused her practice on complex litigation, including class actions, environmental contamination cases and pharmaceutical and medical device mass tort litigations. A resident of Chester County since 2008, Maria began practicing in West Chester in 2015.

Maria litigates the following types of personal injury cases: motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-falls, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, product liability, chemical exposures, construction accidents, dog bites, and pharmacy misfills. Maria also handles cases seeking civil remedies for victims of crime.

Maria was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star for medical malpractice in 2019 and 2020 and voted a Main Line Today Top Lawyer for Personal Injury in 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2020, she ranked #1 in the personal injury category. Maria was also named a Top 10 Under 40 Attorney in Pennsylvania by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys. She writes and lectures on her various practice areas, including nursing home negligence, personal injury and mass torts.
