Divorce is never easy, especially when there are children involved. I had the privilege of having Vanessa Hammer serve as the GAL for my daughter. My divorce was high conflict and had many overlapping issues. Vanessa was the biggest advocate for my then 3 year old daughter; she listened, guided, provided insight, and was really able to tease out all of my concerns. My now 5 year old daughter to this day, still refers to her "my friend, 'Nessa.." She was thorough making recommendations that were in my daughters best interest (current and future).
