Guy Tweed is a graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law and entered the practice of law in 1974 as a VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) attorney with the Cincinnati Legal Aid Society. Since that time he has used the law to protect the rights of thousands of individuals in a myriad of forums, including trial and appellate courts throughout the state of Ohio. Mr. Tweed remains committed to the principle that justice in America requires real accessibility to the legal system for all. Mr. Tweed has found that the U.S. Bankruptcy Code is possibly the most effective Consumer Protection legislation in existence today. When used properly, the Bankruptcy Code provides a safe haven for an orderly reorganization of the financial life of an individual, and, at the same time, allows for the treatment of all legitimate claims in a fair and equitable manner. Like all tools, bankruptcy can be abused, but when used properly, a bankruptcy frequently results in a win-win situation for both the debtor and the creditor.
