From day 1 Attn. Govan showed a low level of competency, but I figured this is a basic bankruptcy what could possibly go wrong, well... she took 44 days after my initial payment to file my documents. I had to call her 4x to remind her and confirm that it was done. I explained to her in detail that I would be surrendering my vehicle and was concerned about the process because I didn't want the vehicle to be picked up without my knowledge and would like to know how to surrender the vehicle civilly. I was informed by Attn. Govan that the Car company would contact me to set up a date and time. Well I was never contacted and they came to my job and repossessed the vehicle with my belongings. I'm ok with them taking the car but not how it was done. When I contacted the Car company to find out why I was not contacted to set up a date I was informed that it was because of how my Attn worded the document and that either myself or my attorney could have contacted them at any time to set up the date to surrender the vehicle because legally they can't contact me while the vehicle is in bankruptcy. Now to recap from the very beginning I informed Attn.Govan that this was a concern of mine, she even "said" that she would speak to them, well obviously she did not nor did she word the documentation properly. When I called her to ask if what the company was saying was true that's when I saw her ratchet side, she became rude, disrespectful and would speak over me saying the Car company is lying and " I do know why you're calling me about a car they took it, I guess you were embarrass but its nothing you can do about". The problem was not the car, the problem was paying an incompetent attorney 1200 dollars to do a bum job. Once she had my money I was no longer her concern, it was like meeting Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The conversation was as if I was speaking to a common thug on the street. I expected so much more from a "educated woman of color" , I do realize that education does not equate to wisdom or class. I wouldn't recommend anyone to invest your money or trust her with any legal issues. I would have paid twice as much to a more professional attorney, I guess you get what you pay for. I hope that she can learn from the experience and do better, I believe in supporting one another but I will not spend my money where it is not appreciated. The 1 Star is for the assistant Dawn, she is the only buffer, she is respectful and patient, maybe Attn Govan should take a few pointers from her, because class is definitely not her strong suit. When you are in the business of customer service you have to mindful of your words, because you never know who you may be entertaining. Word of mouth can make all of the difference. I wish there was a 0 stars option.
